    The WFIA annual “Day at the State Capitol” is open to all members. We visit with key legislative leadership on business and food industry issues. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from legislative leadership speakers, learn more about your local government and the legislative process, represent our industry, and have your voice heard. Join us at the Capitol Campus on Thursday, January 30, 2020.

    We make appointments with your local legislators for both your business district and home district, so you will see those fields required in the registration form. We team you up with other members, brief you on current issues, and send you off to have a great time lending your voice to the advocacy of the well-being of the independent grocery and convenience store industry.

    Preliminary Schedule of Events: 

    8:30 am - Arrival and Check-In at the Cherberg Building - ABC Rooms
    9:00 am - Briefing
    10:00 am - Legislative Appointments
    12:00 pm - Lunch in ABC Rooms
    1:30 pm - 4:00 pm - Legislative Appointments 

    Hotel reservations: Hotel rooms have been blocked at the Red Lion Governor Hotel. The hotel is located on the DASH bus line and is within walking distance to the Capitol. Booking deadline is January 8, 2020.

    Webinar:
    There will be a mandatory webinar for those attending day at the Capitol. You will have the option to select the date when you complete the registration process.

    Are you interested in connecting with independent grocers and convenience stores in one place, at one time? WFIA's "Connect" event offers you the opportunity to meet with local retailers via a speed networking event on April 23, 2020 so you can showcase your latest, and greatest, products. 

    We are currently accepting interest forms from vendors who would like to explore participation in the networking event. There is a limit of 20 vendor tables available and we are hoping to feature a diverse pool of companies offering unique products for our retailers. 

    Please note that vendor speed networking tables are priced at $2000. This price includes two tickets to the Industry Awards Dinner where there will be additional time to network with retailers.  Also included is a special invitation to our VIP After-Hours Party where you can continue to network with retailers. We are asking each featured vendor to bring an item with a minimum $100 value for the silent auction.

    Deadline for submitting the interest form is December 31st.

    *Submitting this interest form does not guarantee a spot in the speed networking portion of the event. The final 20 vendors will be chosen by our event committee from the pool of interested vendors based on the new or unique products and services they offer.*
